Artist Penny Manavi is hosted at the art space "Melanythros", presenting her exhibition entitled "Animals and Reptiles". The strange and intense color combinations encountered while studying biodiversity and the abundance of colors in nature are the artist's main interest. She is inspired by the microcosm of insects and flowers, the mysterious world of the seabed and, in her latest works, by the forms of animals, contrasting them with reptiles. By studying the details and focusing on her subjects she discovers a fantastic world. Realism and abstraction coexist with elements of expressionism. Oils and typographic ink alternate forming spots of color and lines that convey movement, rhythm and a flow of energy that permeates her works, resulting in a dynamic balance and reflecting an optimistic perception.
